Following the completion of an intensive preparation camp in Samoa, the national Under-19 squad will depart tomorrow morning for Vanuatu to compete in the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup East Asia-Pacific Qualifier.
The tournament represents an exciting opportunity for Samoa's next generation of cricketers to test themselves against some of the strongest emerging teams in the region.
Samoa will take the field across four matches, playing on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, coming up against Papua New Guinea, hosts Vanuatu and Indonesia, with the final match scheduled for Saturday.
The team will return to Samoa on Sunday following the completion of the tournament.
The campaign follows an extensive Talent Identification and preparation programme, bringing together talented young players from Samoa and overseas. The squad represents an important part of Samoa Cricket's growing pathway and the future of the national men's programme.

Head Coach Chris Coombe said the group was excited and ready to represent Samoa on the international stage.
“The boys have worked incredibly hard throughout the preparation period, and the camp has been a really important opportunity to bring everyone together before we depart.
“We know this will be a challenging tournament against quality opposition, but it is also a fantastic opportunity for these players to represent Samoa and test themselves against the best young cricketers in the East Asia-Pacific region.
“Our focus has been on preparing the boys to play for Samoa with pride, compete every ball and back themselves and their team mates. This group represents an exciting part of the future of Samoa Cricket.”
With four matches in five days, the Samoa Under-19 Boys will have an opportunity to test themselves against the region's best, with the ultimate goal of earning the chance to progress further on the road towards the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
